Within classical roots lies the foundation of all music. My music is influenced by 20th century modernist composer mindsets, but at the same time draws inspiration and influence in structure from both New-Romantic classical and retro/current video game industry trends. Although most of what you hear above is pretty accessible, I'm a firm believer that the boundaries of game music need to be pushed. It's for this reason that many of my current personal projects have been experimental, and that I'm continuously researching unique ideas in video game music.
While not directly related to writing music, I'm currently running a blog series titled "Pushing Boundaries in Video Game Music." This look into music is for composers and developers. It's a series meant to educate you on music, to prep you better to talk with composers, and to give you new ideas about how to approach music from an introspective level. You can find that right here.
